I Am Bread is a simulator game in which you literally play a slice of bread
A few months back we were fascinated and amazed by the bizarre world of unusual simulator games. If goats, rocks, robot vacuums and airport firefighters didn’t startle you, though, then how about a game simulating a day in the life of a slice of bread?
Created by London-based game agency Bossa Studios, ‘I am bread’ is billed by its creators as “The beautiful story of one slice of bread’s epic and emotional journey as it embarks upon a quest to become toasted.” Beautiful indeed.
From toilet surfaces to tables and fans attached on the ceiling, this slice of bread (by which of course we mean you), will stop at nothing to fulfil its destiny of being toasted.
What does victory look like to a slice of bread?
As reported by Game Rant, the slices of bread will be judged based on edibility and deliciousness at the end of their journey. Edibility will be related to the treatment your bread receives on its path to glory whereas deliciousness will have to do with different condiments you can pick up on your way such as jam and, errr, corn flakes.
Bossa Studios has a track record for this sort of thing having created the already popular ‘Surgeon Simulator,‘ while its other games include the somewhat less silly Merlin, Monstermind and Deep Dungeons of Doom.
The game’s developers are yet to announce a release date for I Am Bread, but you can take a look at some of the in-game ‘action’ below;
