The iPhone 6 release is all set for September 2014
Chalk it up in the diary folks, the latest Apple instalment is due for release in September, on the ninth day to be more precise.
The iPhone 6 is being hailed (perhaps expectedly) as the most ground-breaking Apple smartphone to date. Android fans, however, may take this opportunity to say “I told you so”, as Apple appear to have taken on the design element of a larger screen. There will supposedly be two versions of the iPhone 6, one that measures at 4.7 inches with the other coming in at a grand 5.5 inches.
Keeping with tradition, Apple have chosen September to hold a launch event where they are expected to focus on the release dates of both versions of the new iPhone 6. This is now Apple’s ninth iPhone in the series, continuing the habit of churning a new model out every year, much to the frustration of those tied down to 24 month contracts.
Some of the things to look out for as well as the different sizes, include a metal body, replacing the older glass design. There is also speculation as to whether or not the iPhone 6 will feature a Sapphire display, which if it does, will create one of the most robust, toughest smartphones on the market today.
With all the hype surrounding the iPhone 6 launch, do you think it will finally live up to expectations? Or will it fly under the radar with very few changes and minimal fuss? Let us know what you think.
For now, here’s a short video that we thought was rather clever. It’s the iPhone 6…Trailer.
